In the third quarter of 2025, the social networking landscape in Egypt on iOS showcased intriguing trends across the top five applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users.

Threads saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 59K in mid-July before gradually declining to approximately 35K by the end of September. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 2.2M and finishing the quarter at 2.3M.

Telegram Messenger experienced a notable surge in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 31K in mid-August. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at nearly $3K in late September. Active users steadily increased, ending the quarter with approximately 4.6M users.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 8K to 9K throughout the quarter. The app’s active users hovered around 5.6M, showing minor fluctuations but overall stability.

Messenger had a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of nearly 10K in late August. Its active user count remained robust, starting at 5.1M and slightly decreasing to 5.2M by the quarter's end.

Facebook saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 7.1K and decreasing to 5.4K by late September. Active users showed a downward trend from 6.1M to 6M over the quarter, while weekly revenue also saw a slight decline, ending at around $1.4K.
